Good advice from Mayim. Wish I could have been there! As a friend of mine’s father said, eat the fish, spit out the bones. You won’t agree with everything every expert says (and it will depend on your child, too, just wait until they’re actually born!), so choose the things you would be willing to try. You don’t have to religiously follow Dr. Sears, or Dr. Ferber, or (please no) Gary Ezzo. They are not prophets. You can take a little of one person’s advice, and a little of another’s, and a little of your mother’s… and learn how to say, “No, that doesn’t work for us,” to the other stuff.
As an old mom and child and family watcher, I can tell you you are right! A mom who loves her baby will do whatever she can to help that child develop well. Our job as observers is to allow this, assist as we are asked, and applaud!
Girl i feel so empowered after this! thanks!
Thanks Katie!

Dear Organic Baby Atlanta,
As an old mom and child and family watcher, I can tell you you are right! A mom who loves her baby will do whatever she can to help that child develop well. Our job as observers is to allow this, assist as we are asked, and applaud!
Love this! All so true!
